Congratulations. The fact that you're reading this means you've taken one giant step closer to surviving till your next birthday- hope it's your eighteenth. Yes you, sitting/standing there scanning through this anonymous email. Do not disregard this! I'm dead serious- your life could depend on it.
this is my story, but it could just as easily be your story too. we're all in this together; trust me on that.
I've never done anything like this, so I'm just going to jump in, and you try to keep up.
i will keep my name anonymous, but can tell you the rest. i was sixteen, and what some call an unwind. you should well understand what that means. if not, here is a quick definition:
UNWIND / UN-wind/ n. UNWINDING v. : the process by which a child is both terminated and yet kept alive.
my parents know me as a trouble maker, and someone you can't control. a menace. i didn't make the best of grades or be the best role-model for my younger brother. it didn't take a genius to know my parents were going to change that. but nothing prepared me for this. a couple years ago, while looking for a stapler in my father's office. I found airplane tickets to the Bahamas. They were going on a family vacation over thanksgiving. One problem, though: there were only three tickets. My mother, my father, my younger brother. No ticket for me. At first I figured the ticket was somewhere else, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed wrong. So I went looking a little deeper. When my parents were out, and I found it. The Unwind order. It had been signed in old-fashioned triplicate. The white copy was already gone, off with the authorities. The yellow copy would accompany me to my end, and the pink would stay with my parents as evidence of what they'd done. Perhaps they would frame it and hang it alongside my first-grade picture.
This is the point when I became a runway. AKA: AWOL. AWOL means a runaway teen. I was determined to survive till my eighteenth birthday. Along the road I befriended Levi- who's diseased, and Risa- my girlfriend. You may not be as lucky to befriend someone in your escape. Unwinds! Trust me when I tell you there are safe havens in this corrupted world. People, adults, teenagers - just as yourselves are willing to help. I can't give you the location since this email could be traced, and read by the ass holes that created the 'Bill of Life' in the first place. So that must be your task. Good luck, friend. I'll be waiting for your arrival.

UNWIND?!

[/size][/blockquote]" BILL OF LIFE "
The second Civil War, also know as " the Heartland war ", was a long and bloody conflict fought over a single issue.
To end the war, a set of constitutional amendments known as " the Bill of Life " was passed
It satisfied both the Pro-life and Pro-choice armies.
The Bill of Life states that human life may not be touched from the moment of conception until a child reaches the age of thirteen.
However, between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, a parent may choose to retroactively 'abort' a child...
...on condition that the child's life doesn't 'technically' end.
The process by which a child is both terminated and yet kept alive is called 'unwinding.'
